Advent
The Ashiia starter pack. This track has been itterated as I grew into the skills required to finally release it.
To me, a lot of EDM has started to sound the same recently. It’s following fast impact, familiar patterns and predictible structure.
I wanted to lean back into story telling and take a slightly more unconventional approach. Advent is a representation of that feeling. This track takes its time by introducing itself slowly before hitting a darker driving section.
The breakdown is also… not the easiest to mix into (sorry not sorry :D)
It’s not about rejecting what makes EDM work, its more about holding onto the parts that matter, while letting go of the parts that don’t resonate with me anymore.
